Mind Body Yoga: Movement for Regulation

This series will offer you a gentle yoga experience with emphasis on whole-body stretching, breathing and mindfulness practices, and an extended relaxation meditation to finish. Classes are designed to reduce stress, reduce physical tension, and improve your embodiment skills for improved awareness and connection to self. You will leave feeling connected and refreshed both inside and out. 

Each week there will be a class theme to discover ways that we can reduce stress and cultivate better regulation through our nervous system. Themes will include: 
-Learning to slow down
-Regulation techniques and tricks
-Your breath as an anchor
-Heighten your senses
-Follow your bliss
-Feel freedom

This class is suitable for beginners!

Fusion Summer Flow

Improve your strength, energy, and flexibility in this series to flow and tone into summer. Each class will combine vinyasa, or flow-style yoga, hatha yoga poses, Pilates, and core training. You will improve your muscle tone, coordination, and endurance. Each class offers a focus pose for more in-depth study and execution. 

The flow portion of the class involves dynamic transitions from lying to standing.

6 classes: Wednesdays 9:00 – 10:00am; June 5, 12, 19, 26, July 3, 10

Therapeutic Hatha Yoga

Therapeutic Yoga offers a balanced practice of therapeutic poses for the body in its entirety. The emphasis will be on safe alignment and execution for removing obstructions of tension and pain.

Each class begins with pranayama (breathing) practice to balance energy, followed by gentle warm-up exercises to mobilize and stretch. Poses are selected to build strength, posture, and balance, with adaptations for injury and limited range of motion. Each exercise is guided step-by-step, with options to hold-back or go deeper. The class will wind down with longer, supported stretches, and close with Savasana.

This class is suitable for beginners.

Stretch & Relax Yoga
A gentle class which will help you release tension patterns in the body through mindful, somatic movement, and supported stretch. The poses and movements are planned based on creating postural balance and greater ease of movement, with plenty of options for beginners. The class is restful in nature combining calming breathing exercises, mindfulness techniques, and a guided meditation at the end to feel more centered and relaxed.

Balanced Body Yoga
A well-rounded, hatha yoga class to improve your strength, flexibility, balance, and breathing. Special attention is placed on teaching alignment and the sequence of the postures to encourage a balanced and safe experience for all. This class offers something for everyone, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned practitioner.

Flow Yoga & Pilates Fusion
This class is a whole body workout combining vinyasa style yoga (flowing of yoga poses linked with breath) and Pilates-based strengthening moves. If you want to build your fitness and strengthen your core, this class is for you!

6 Week Therapeutic Yoga Series (next series starting Saturdays in September 2022)
This self-awareness style yoga series will offer an exploration into the essence of yoga through an educational and therapeutic focus. During the series, we will explore the ways in which you can regulate the nervous system using certain yoga postures, somatic sensing, breathing exercises, and mindfulness techniques. The classes aim to bridge the connection between body, mind, and emotions in the healing process, and teaches you ways to improve your resiliency to stress. Your comfort and safety are put at the forefront of this class, and many options are offered, to make it accessible to all.
